I am a French native speaker who grew up in France partly in Lorraine and partly in Brittany. I moved to South Wales in 1994 as part of the Erasmus exchange programme to study English literature and translation and happily settled there.
I hold an English degree from Brest University, a PGCE in French secondary education from Swansea University and a postgraduate diploma in translation with language technology from Swansea University.
I have been a Member of the Institute of Linguists since 2003.
I worked as a part-time associate French tutor from 1997 to 2020, in the Department of Adult Continuing Education teaching French to adults from beginner to advanced level. I have also taught translation classes at degree level and Languages for All classes in the French department in Swansea University.
I organise private lessons covering GCSE revision, A levels preparation and revision, adult learners and primary school children. These can be in group or on a one to one basis.
I have worked as a translator and interpreter for many companies and government services over the last 14 years. These include Linguassist, Euro Connect, Prestige Network, Geo language services, Knockhundred translations, SATIS, Wolfestone, Penderyn the Welsh Whisky Company, Wales Interpretation and Translation services and the NHS.
